Installation takes minutes, results last decades
Installing Andersen 100 Series windows is easy and takes just a few minutes per window. Check out this 10-minute video from Matt Risinger of the The Build Show Network as he demonstrates installation. Though the process takes just minutes, the result will last decades!
You can expect a similar process from SMA Exteriors. There may be variations depending on factors like window type, building style, weather conditions, and more. Whether you need windows for replacement, remodeling, or new construction, we’ll make sure your windows let the light in–and keep the weather out!
Andersen 100 Series Add-on trim options
Other Andersen Window Series include pre-assembled surrounds or factory pre-drilled and pre-cut decorative trim kits. The 100 Series differs in that exterior trim must be ordered separately.
We’ll work with you to make sure the process for ordering trim is simple. You can choose from 11 trim colors designed to match every interior and exterior option available in the 100 Series. Andersen’s exterior trim is made from the same long-lasting Fibrex® composite material, with lasting results that won’t fade, crack, blister, or peel.
If you opt for exterior trim, our team will fabricate and assemble everything on site for a perfect fit. Onsite fabrication and assembly also greatly reduces the likelihood of callbacks.
You can also opt to use existing trim or choose trim from another source.

Materials
Fibrex® composite material
Andersen 100 Series Windows are made entirely of Fibrex® composite material. Fibrex® is a patented Andersen innovation, composed of 40% reclaimed wood fibers and 60% thermoplastic polymer. Fibrex® offers superior performance to other window materials, including:
- 2x the strength of vinyl
- 700x the thermal control of aluminum
- Greater moisture resistance than treated pine
- More flexibility than fiberglass
You can choose from 4 interior colors and 5 exterior, along with 11 trim colors designed to complement each other flawlessly. Because Andersen blends colors directly during the production of Fibrex®, the color of your window and trim will look as good decades from now as it does today.

With Andersen 100 Series Windows you have the choice of several high-efficiency glass options for temperature, light, and visibility control. Whatever qualities you prefer, every glass option in the 100 Series will offer year-round energy savings and comfort.
Low-E glass makes for a good option in Minnesota climates. Low-E glass retains heat in the winter and cooled air in the summertime, as well as light filtering and UV Protection capabilities. For improved heat retention, add HeatLock® Coating on the roomside surface of your Low-E glass.
SmartSun™ glass is a step up from Low-E glass, offering even stronger thermal control and UV Protection. Andersen compares the thermal protection of SmartSun™ glass to tinted glass, and can be enhanced with HeatLock® Coating. SmartSun™ glass may be a good option for south-facing windows that receive many hours of direct sunlight.
Clear Dual-Pane glass offers the highest visibility of any 100 Series glass options, with basic thermal performance.
Additional options can enhance window privacy or security. Choose sound-reducing glass, tempered safety glass, or patterned glass based on your unique needs.
